Engaging Youth to Battle Food Insecurity
The High School Student Program helps put in place a framework to teach and engage students about the severity of food insecurity in Newfoundland and Labrador. In doing so, we look to create opportunities for students to engage in their community to help battle food insecurity.
Our Program So Far
Throughout January to June 2021, the High School Program has been represented by various schools across Newfoundland. Working with teachers, guidance counselors, student councils and students, as well as our own MUN Team Leads, the program has encouraged both traditional and creative ways that they can combat food insecurity within schools and communities.
